The library staff is very pleased with the great turnout for our Groundbreaking Ceremony May 2nd, 2013.  We were especially pleased that so many came out in spite of  the wet, cool, weather. The library will host “Fun With Fables From Around the World” May 13th at 4:00. The outdoor performance will be on the east side of the library building.  Brian Fox Ellis will entertain all ages with animal stories from around the world. Each year we look forward to seeing what everyone will come up with for the Edible Book Contest!  Each year we are not disappointed.  The judges had a very difficult job choosing those who would receive prizes again this year.  Every entry was a winner! The Friends of the El Paso Public Library truly made it a week to celebrate.! April 15-20 is National Library Week, and the Friends planned several activities that made our librarians feel very special. On Monday several individuals from the group presented the staff with a cup coffee making machine with lots of K Cups, and bottled water with flavors to add.  Many Friends, along with other patrons [...]

The lap sitters had their last story hour of the season in April.  The theme was Puppies!  We sang songs, did puppy finger plays, read a puppy story, and painted a puppy.  Older siblings enjoyed time with Vice President (of The Friends of the El Paso Library) Betty Stine.
