
- The library is not going to open at its usual time Tuesday because of staff development. The library will not open at 9 am but instead at noon. In other words, the library will be open this Tuesday from Noon to 7 pm.
- Cookbook Club at 6 pm - The theme is 'Irish Cooking'. Let us know if you would like to join this fun group!
Thursday, March 29 at 6 pm--Rochelle Gridley of the McLean County Museum of History will talk about the Orphan Train in McLean County. From 1872 to 1890 the western agency of a New York Orphanage was in Normal, Illinois. Learn about the fate of orphans brought to McLean County by the famed trains over a 60 year period.

Tuesday, April 10 at 6 pm—Two Bloomington-Normal residents will be on hand to talk about their parent’s experiences in World War II. Anna Wells parents were Jewish citizens of Poland. Anna is the little girl on the left in the picture of her family. Elleke Mesdag was a young girl living in Holland when the Nazis invaded. Don’t miss this interesting presentation!
Thursday, April 12 after 3 pm--11th Annual Edible Book Contest -If you would like to participate, stop by the library for a form. It is also a fun spectator contest. Stop by and see the creativity of our participants and vote on your favorites.
Friday, April 20 at 6:30 pm--Trivia Night—Register a team to play trivia for fun. Individuals may also register. Refreshments will be provided. Babysitting upon request. Register by April 13 for this fun event! This is a free event but donations to the library are appreciated!
