The Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS) supports the activities of the Illinois Network of Libraries serving the Blind and Physically Handicapped in providing excellent public library service to any Illinois resident who is unable to read standard print material due to blindness, visual impairment, or a physical disability that prevents the reading of standard print. Conditions may be permanent or temporary. Some reading disabilities also qualify, such as dyslexia. (Reading disabilities must be certified by a medical doctor). We can help you fill out the application.
Spread the word to your friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
We have a talking book player that we can demonstrated. The picture below shows the player and the sample tape that came with it. An entire book would be on a single tape. We can demonstrate it for you if you are interested.
