Before the El Paso Public Library became the El Paso District Library, the patrons who lived outside the city limits had to pay a non-resident fee to be able to check items out from the library. The library became a district library on June 1, 2017. If a non-resident patron had already paid for the time period covering June 2017 and beyond, the patron is entitled to a refund of the part of the fee covering the months after the library became a district. Please stop by the library to fill out a refund form. Please note that the refund will be sent to the patron in the mail as the librarians are not authorized to refund money.
