![]() The Joyful Genealogist, Kim Mullins visited the library last night to talk about 'Census Clues Can Confuse'. She stressed that census records can give you clues in genealogy but you need to realize that you shouldn't take every detail for the gospel truth. If you tie your census information in with your other genealogical information, you can start to get a clearer picture of your ancestry. She went over the U.S. Census records starting from 1790 going to 1940. Many states also kept census records. She went over many details and potentially confusing information that you may encounter. We had a small crowd but we hope they enjoyed this free and informative presentation. We hope to have her back in the fall so that we can learn about other sources of genealogical information.
