Sometimes the problem may come from whether or not the patron is getting notified. There are many options to our notification system.
Email: Many patrons opted to have their email on file with the library. In that case, you should automatically get an email when your hold is filled. If you are not getting your emails, please check your Spam folder to make sure the emails are not going there. The email will come from sirsi@alsi.sirsi.net and the subject will be something like 'Hold Pick-Up Notice'. You can always call us to verify that we have your email address typed in correctly.
Text Message: If you signed up text message alerts via Shoutbomb, you will get a text message alert when you have a hold to pick up. The text message will be from SHOUTBOMB and will tell you that you have a hold ready for pickup. Call the library if you are interested in signing up for this service and we will explain how to do it.
Phone Call: We call most patrons when their holds come in unless you have told us at some time in the past that you do not wish to be called. If this has changed, please contact us to either add or remove you from our 'no call list'. If you have changed your phone number, please remember to let the library know so that we can contact you.
