We will not be able to meet on March 14th because that is the day there will be a meeting about our library becoming a District Library instead of a City Library. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more.
Since some are not able to make Tuesday meetings, we are going to have 2 meetings, covering the same thing, each month. You can come to one or both.
.
March meetings are:
Monday, March 6 @ 6:00 pm
Tuesday, March 21 @ 6:00 pm
We will have tables set up for projects and interests.
Washcloth
You will need 2 skeins of a cotton yarn such as Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton or Sugar and Cream or Peaches and Cream and an H hook for this project.
Newborn Cap
You will need #2, sport weight or baby weight yarn such as Bernat Softee Baby (1 skein should make several) and a G hook if you want to try this project. Be thinking about where to donate them.
Sampler Quilt
We will be making 6 blocks over the next 6 months. The first 2 will be plain and simple. We will decide on the next 4 together. If you want to make the quilt blocks along with us to complete a 4’ X 6’ afghan, you will need a light (such as cream or pale pink or blue, or white) color of #4 weight yarn (2 skeins) and 2 more coordinating colors (1 skein each) and an H hook. (That is a total of 4 skeins).
Practice Table
Still having trouble making an even chain, or haven’t finished the project you started at the last meeting? Try this table.
Do your own thing Table
For those who want somewhere to sit and visit while you work on your own project.
There will be patterns we can work through together for the washcloth and newborn cap. You are welcome to take patterns home for both patterns.
