We met last Tuesday to share 'Irish Cooking'. We had Guinness Stew, Irish Soda Bread, and a dessert called 'Irish Potatoes'. The Guinness Stew used Guinness Stout cooked with a roast of beef, potatoes, carrots, and onions in a crock pot. The Irish Soda Bread was very tasty. The 'Irish Potatoes' were not potatoes but were a dessert made with cream cheese, coconut, and cinnamon. They were very good but very rich!
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 24th at 6 pm. We are going to make desserts from the book, America's Best Lost Recipes by the editors of Cook's Country magazine. If you would like to join our group, please contact the library!
