Wilma Copeland was back at the library last Tuesday, October 10th to teach people about the Braille language. Wilma's Braille instructor, Walter Lipe from the Bureau of Blind Services in Peoria was also at the library. There were four participants who learned part of the alphabet. The participants enjoyed learning and lots of laughter was heard during the instruction! Wilma and Walter will be back again on Tuesday, October 24th to teach the rest of the alphabet. Thank you Wilma and Walter for helping us learn Braille and making us more aware (and teaching us empathy for blindness) during this month of "Blindness Awareness."
