![]() The Friends of the El Paso District Library are busy preparing for the Christmas Extravaganza this Saturday, December 1st from 9 am to 2 pm at the El Paso District Library. It will be fun for the whole family. You can come to the library and find all kinds of things to do. Events include:

Mike Matjeka of the McLean County Museum of History was at the library last night talking about the importance of railroads to transportation, commerce, industry, travel, national parks, time-keeping, toys, and culture. It was quite delightful! Thank you to our library faithful (and family members) who attended the presentation! We really do appreciate that you are willing to come to the library to attend our events. And we are very thankful to the McLean County Museum of History and their speaker's bureau for providing us with such excellent presentations time and time again!

The speakers from the McLean County Museum of History always do such a great job and we are very lucky to have them close by and willing to come to our community and talk to us. Come join this group of individuals who pursue this fun and relaxing hobby! Tuesday, November 20th - Knit and Crochet Club - 6 pm to 7:30 pm - Any skill level of knitting and crochet is welcome! Tuesday, November 20th - The Railroad in the American Mind - presented by Mike Matejka of the McLean County Museum of History - 7 pm -- A look at the railroad's impact on the nation's economy, culture, folklore, and children! Saturday, December 1st - 10th Annual Christmas Extravaganza and 4th Annual Festival of Wreaths and More! - 9 am to 2 pm - This event includes a Kiddie Bazaar, Craft Sale, & Bake Sale. It is something the whole family can do together! We would have loved to have had more of an audience for our speakers but maybe we picked a bad day. Thank you to the Woodford County Historical Society for all their hard work on this event. And thank you to those of you who could make it to the event.
