Backyard Greenhouse Basics
University of Illinois Extension Office Gardening Webinar Thursday, May 26th 6:30 PM Drake Family - Heartland Bank Community Room Greenhouses, regardless of their shape or size, allow us to get a head start on our favorite plants and be outside whilst the weather is bleak. Learn from U of I Extension Horticulture Educator, Kim Ellison, about how to get the most out of your greenhouse this season. U of I Extension Specialist, David Robson, will share tips and techniques and the latest in watering equipment. Nancy Kreith, Extension Office Horticulture Educator will explain how to use above ground growing systems for safe and fruitful production of your favorite backyard vegetables. ![]() On Tuesday, May 10th, the Master Gardeners will be planting a Butterfly Pollinator Garden at the EPPL! Kids are welcome to come and help plant flowers. A craft, snack, and story will also be part of the fun! The event is from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm. ![]() Jefferson Park/GGS Title 1 Programs & the El Paso Public Library are all getting together to put on Reading Gives you Superpowers! This will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM at the EPPL (El Paso Public Library). We hope you can attend this event with your family for some SUPER HERO themed FUN! Some of the SUPER activities that are planned include: Super Hero Mask face painting by the Zoo Lady Cape and Shield Craft Super Hero Bingo Snack Family Photo Booth Stories/Videos Free Super Hero book & goodie bag This program is intended for kids from kindergarten to 3rd grade but younger and older kids can also come. Please do not drop kids off for this one, the whole family should attend! . EPPL has a new copy machine!
The price of color copies has changed. A single sided color copy is now 40 cents, while a double sided color copy is 80 cents. All other prices (black & white copies, faxes) have stayed the same. |
